#80 – Knee Deep Brewing Simtra Triple IPA and Hot Water Music

12 Jun

Knee Deep Brewing Company - Simtra Triple IPA

First off, apologies for the microphone abuse during the first ~2 seconds of this episode. I tried to balance out the volume as much as I could … well, you’ll hear it.

Summer is upon us, and what better way to cool off in the heat than with an 11.25% 100+ IBU Insanity Pale Ale?! We bust open a bottle of Simtra Triple IPA from Knee Deep Brewing Co. in Auburn, California.

Hot Water Music was selected from the Bored of Songs. We reviewed one of their songs way back on Episode 4, but it was a newer song and I wanted to take Russ down Fuel For The Hate Game lane. What happens next will amaze you.

#4 – Oskar Blues Deviant Dales and Hot Water Music

29 May

Episode 4 all up in your face!

In this episode, we quaff Deviant Dales from Oskar Blues and listen to a track off the new Hot Water Music album. As promised last time, I skipped most of the fancy, audio-editing trickeration because it is hard, but hey, I kept a promise, right? Honestly, I already miss it.

Lots of exciting stuff going on here at camp beersong. We brewed a Rye Basil IPA on Saturday and did a sub-three-minute review of a single beer during one of the many windows of standing around waiting for something to either heat up or cool down. Audio will be up later this week. Also, Russ got himself thrown into the slammer for stealing horses right before we recorded episode 5, so I acquired a replacement at the last minute who stepped and did a damn fine job. Russ, you are on notice.

Personally, I think each one of these episodes is getting slightly less bad. Tell us what you think either here (I think you need to follow the tumblr in order to comment) or via twitter @1beer1song.
