#42 – Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA and KEN Mode

5 Mar

The second of two episodes recorded in “Studio A” at Tall Brown. Dogfish Head 75-Minute IPA is a blend of their 60 Minute and 90 Minute IPAs which is then bottle conditioned with maple syrup. It tastes … just how it sounds, actually.

KEN Mode is a “metallic hardcore-influenced noise rock band” (wikipedia) from Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Russ manages to stay surprisingly zen about the whole thing despite several pokes with a stick.

75 min used to be made at the brewpub only as a cask and it was a straight blend of 60 and 90. The nickname for it was “Johnny Cask”, hence the drawing on the front. It was easily my favorite beer when i visited in 2008. For the new version of 75, i believe it is brewed specifically and not a blend.
